"Easy way to get paid for an old phone"
I used ecoATM to sell an old iPhone I wasn’t using anymore, and overall it worked well. The kiosk showed me the offer amount up front, and that’s exactly what I ended up getting, which I appreciated. The payment wasn’t immediate for me, so I did have to check my account later, but it showed up the same day. I’m taking off one star because I think the timing could be explained a little more clearly. Still, it was a convenient way to turn an old phone into cash without much hassle, and I’d probably use it again.

"Payout got fixed, but it took a while"
I had an issue with my payout and, to be fair, support did eventually get it sorted out. It just took a few back-and-forth messages and some waiting around, and at times I felt like I was being passed around a bit. Not the worst experience, but definitely a little frustrating.

I tried using ecoATM, but the identity verification was way more dramatic than it had any right to be. The machine kept refusing to read my ID like it had a personal grudge against me, and after fighting with it for way too long, I finally just gave up.

I tried to use the kiosk on my lunch break, but the app froze twice... and then the whole kiosk restarted right after scanning my phone. Frustrating, honestly. I ended up wasting my break and still couldn’t even finish the sale

I stopped by and used the kiosk a couple of times, mostly because I wasn’t sure how quick it would be or if it would act up like these things sometimes do. It did take a few minutes longer than I thought it would, so I was kind of standing there longer than planned, but it worked fine both times. No freezing, no weird errors, nothing got messed up, so I’d say it’s reliable enough...

"Didnt feel right sharing my info"
I gave it a try, but I backed out once it started asking for more personal details than I was expecting. It wasnt really clear to me where my data would end up or how long theyd keep it, and that made me uncomfortable. Just wasnt for me.

The kiosk checked my old iPhone really fast, and the offer was about what I expected. It did point out a few scratches, which, was fair. I do wish it explained the grading a bit more, though. But overall, it was easy, straightforward, and no weird surprises

I waited around longer than I expected, and then the ID scan just kept failing over and over. It was really frustrating because I had my ID ready, but it still wouldn’t take it. Definitely not the smooth experience I was hoping for...

It was easy to use overall. I just wish the pricing part had been a little clearer before I went all the way over there. The online estimate seemed fine, but then after the scan the final offer was lower than I thought it would be. Maybe I missed something, I’m not sure. It didn’t feel like a scam or anything, just kind of frustrating. I ended up taking it anyway because it was fast and I didn’t want to deal with it anymore.

"Low Offer Despite the Phone Working Fine"
I brought in my phone because it was working perfectly fine and I figured I’d get a decent offer for it. Instead, the amount they gave me was way lower than expected. It felt like they used every little policy loophole to knock the price down, even though there wasn’t anything seriously wrong with it. Not really worth making the trip.

I like that they check IDs and phones before letting a sale go through. I’m not 100% sure how much it stops everything, but it definitely seems like it would make it harder for people to unload stolen phones. The process could be a bit quicker, maybe, but overall I’d say it’s a solid setup.
